Primary Purpose of Department

Primary Purpose of Position

Oversee the Football Student-Athlete Leadership Program which encompasses 125 student athletes. Mentor and assist student athletes transition into the university, playing and academic activity during enrollment, and transition from university into career.

Summary of Position Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between student athletes and internal or external departments and agencies as it relates to player development.

Mentor and assist student athletes in career development and employment opportunities.

Coordinate personal development and community services initiatives with outside constituents to align with with

NCAA

requirements.

Oversee Life Skills programming to prepare student athletes for life after college to fulfill

NCAA

requirements.

Follow all university, conference, and

NCAA

rules and regulations.

Minimum Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree.

Previous administrative or playing experience in a collegiate setting.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Social work experience a plus.

NFL

playing experience a plus.
