Job Description

St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking a Director of Game Day Operations and Equipment Manager. This position oversees the athletic equipment area, concessions, and game day operations. This individual is expected to follow all NCAA, Conference, and College policies.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of the equipment room at multiple facilities which includes the management of graduate assistants and student workers, scheduling staff, and ensuring the safety of student-athletes by monitoring the condition and quality of items used by all student-athletes.

  • Hire and manage a pool of student workers and a graduate assistant, who ensure that all items are laundered in a timely fashion.

  • Implement and maintain a check-in/out process for team-issued gear, collaborating with coaches to administer. Order necessary gear for sports programs. 

  • Act as the event manager for home athletic contests in the role of SNC athletic administrator, ensuring events run smoothly and without complications.

  • Oversee athletics concessions, which include internal and external partners who administer, while ensuring efficient processes are in place to maximize revenues. 

  • Collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Director on game operations and management of staff for all aspects of athletics home events, which includes the scheduling and management of student workers. 

  • Coordinate with all visiting teams, which includes the creation of visitor team guides, and serve as the point person for questions.

Supervision Exercised Over: 

  • 15-25 student workers
