Job Description

Job Title:  Director of Intercollegiate Athletics

Department:  Athletics

Reports To:  President

Job Type:  This is a full time, exempt position.

General Description:

The Director of Intercollegiate Athletics is responsible for the overall management of the University's intercollegiate athletics programs, serves as a member of the University Cabinet, and reports directly to the University President. Specific duties include supervision of sports programs, strategic planning, fundraising, and compliance with all University and NAIA policies. Additionally, the Director is responsible for leading the Athletics Department while supporting and reinforcing a positive environment in which student-athletes learn, grow, practice, and compete. The Director is expected to cultivate an atmosphere that strives for excellence in athletics as part of a larger commitment to academic success while fostering a sense of belonging emphasizing equity, diversity, and a supportive environment for all student-athletes and athletics staff.

 

The Director of Intercollegiate Athletics is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the athletic department including, but not limited to, budget management, scheduling, fundraising, staff supervision/evaluation, athlete eligibility, academic monitoring, and alumni development. 

The Director of Intercollegiate Athletics has direct oversight over all sports, athletic training, strength and conditioning, recreation and sports information.
