Founded in 1902, The University of Indianapolis is experiencing strong, strategic growth under the new leadership of President Tanuja Singh who has just completed her first year. The urban campus is home to nearly 5,000 students, of which 700 are student-athletes competing across 25 sports. A member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), the next AD will inherit a consistently successful program. UIndy has now placed in the top 10 in the Directors' Cup in 10 of the last 11 years, including six top-five finishes in that span and the Greyhounds finished an impressive second in 2024. They have won the GLVC All-Sports Trophy 11 consecutive times, beginning in 2012, and 20 of its 25 programs competed at the NCAA Championships in 2023-2024. Likewise, Greyhounds also excel in the classroom, carrying an average GPA higher of 3.3505 and choosing their fields of study from more than 90 majors. Reporting directly to the President, the AD sits on the cabinet and will also have a dotted line reporting to the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration. They will lead a staff of approximately 67 people and 25 sports programs (men's and women's basketball, cross-country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, and track and field, women's bowling, softball, triathlon, and volleyball; men's baseball, football and wrestling). They will enjoy enthusiastic support from the Greyhound Club and have ample opportunities in sports-minded Indianapolis to fund- and friend-raise at a high level.
The most successful candidates will have a deep understanding of the complexities inherent within the NCAA DII structure, a keen understanding and demonstrated skills in fiscal management, and a strategic, pioneering leadership style that inspires collaboration across the entire university enterprise. The ideal candidate will have significant administrative experience in an NAIA, DII or DIII environment.
