The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Director of NCAA Compliance, UNLV National Collegiate Athletic Association Compliance [R0141342]
ROLE of the POSITION
The position reports directly to the Assistant Athletics Director, Compliance and is responsible for assisting and managing the day-to-day operations of the NCAA compliance office, through interpreting and making determinations on matters related to compliance, monitoring various compliance related systems, mechanisms, process and enforcing NCAA regulations as they pertain to Division I Athletics.
This position provides leadership and support to internal and external constituents and supervises compliance graduate assistants. Supervision includes assigning specific duties, training, and evaluating performance.
Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison for financial aid. This includes working with coaches, student-athletes, the office of financial aid, the cashier's office, and others to assist in the execution of all items related to athletics aid and other applicable regulations of NCAA Bylaw 15. This position should have strong knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires aBachelor’s degreefrom an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) anda minimum of one year (1) of comparable professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
