Assist the Head Coach in the preparation and control of the operational budget. Coordinates with visiting teams and works with Event Management to manage home race logistics. Organize all team travel. Assist in organzing and executing other team activities and events.
30% - Essential - in Support, Operations, Home Game Logistics: Organizes, directs and coordinates program's administrative operations. Responsible for communicating and coordinating directly with visiting teams and Event Management with home race logistics. Coordinates planning of home races, including ACC Championships. Manages scheduling of non-conference opponents in coordination with program's supervisor. Directs the production and execution of special promotional events and projects. Works closely with the Clemson Video and Technology to coordinate video services during events. Works with outside media vendors to provide coverage of home races.
30% - Essential - Travel Management and Memberships:
Works with Head Coach and Travel Agent to organize team travel, including, but not limited to, flights, hotels, transportation, and food. Organizes and distributes team itineraries for trips. Submits registration for different regattas and manages individual and program memberships with USRowing, Row2k, and the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. Assists in the organization of Official Visits such as travel booking and itineraries.
20% - Essential - Budget Management in coordination with program supervisor:
Maintains and updates capital and non-capital equipment purchases. Tracks purchases and inventory to ensure compliance with university property and budget requirements. Assists coaches with recruiting travel. Ensures travel is consistent with NCAA and Clemson rules. Coordinates official visits and ensures records are maintained. Coordinates purchases of all items relating to day-to-day operations for team, including meals, supplies.
20% - Essential - Coaching: Coaches practice sessions, workouts, and regattas. Teaches student-athletes the fundamentals and strategies required to compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics. Teaches student athletes the rules of competition. Teaches student athletes to safely compete and ensures compliance with sports medicine policies. Instructs student athletes regarding team concepts. Attends preparatory meetings and assists in designing and developing practice and race plans. Stays abreast of sport techniques, strategies, rules, and skills. Works directly with student-athletes. Effectively communicates strategies, objectives, techniques, and concepts to team members. Performs other necessary instructional and coaching duties. Meets with student-athletes to discuss goals, performance, school, video review, etc.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
