Transylvania University invites applications for the full-time position of Director of Operations - Field Hockey. Transylvania, founded in 1780, is the nation’s 16th oldest institution of higher learning and is consistently ranked in national publications as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country. Transylvania is located blocks from downtown Lexington, KY, in central Kentucky. Transylvania is a proud member of NCAA Division III.

The Director of Operations will direct the operational function of a competitive Division III team while following Transylvania University and athletic policies. This position will prepare student-athletes for personal, academic, and professional success. The position will direct the operational and logistics functions of the program including supporting recruitment coordination. This position requires frequent travel; work in the evenings, on weekends and holidays. Secondary duties will include event management/sports information. This is a full-time nine-month appointment.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) and either collegiate playing experience or coaching and effective communication/organizational skills. In addition, candidates should have an athletics philosophy compatible with a Division III liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards.
