Position Summary
Under the Athletic Director, the Director of Operations for Combat Sports is responsible for the direction and administration of activities for the Wrestling, Boxing, Muaythai, and Ju-Jitsu programs. The incumbent will serve as the liaison to Athletics administration for all aspects of recruiting, student-athlete academic eligibility, travel, compliance, budget, facilities, and youth summer camps. They will be responsible for the organization and administration of appropriate pre-season, season and post-season programs necessary to build affinity for Combat Sports, enhance the student-athlete experience and ensure a quality program. The incumbent will perform all duties within the guidelines, policies, and regulations of University, National Collegiate Boxing Association, National Collegiate Wrestling Association, USA Muaythai, United States Ju-Jitsu Federation, and Intercollegiate Athletics and be responsible for reporting any non-compliant activity to the appropriate entity.
FLSA : Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range : $ 3,750.00 per month - $ 5,417.00 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range : $ 3,750.00 per month - $ 11,146.00 per month

Department Information
The Combat U program reports into the department of Intercollegiate Athletics. It is organized and conducted as an integral part of the total educational program of the University and committed to national excellence. Academic excellence and athletic accomplishments go hand in hand at Sacramento State. There are three separate and unique missions in this program: to contribute to the educational objectives of the University; to provide a healthy, competitive athletic experience to individual student-athletes; to serve as a public relations vehicle within the community.
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics offers both academic courses and an intercollegiate athletics program. Academic courses offer the opportunity for individuals to gain knowledge and understanding in a particular area of expertise related to intercollegiate athletics.
