General Notes
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel will be required. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours.
Purpose
Assist with the overall management and operations of the Women’s Basketball program at The University of Texas at Austin.
Responsibilities
Significant responsibility in (but not limited to) these areas: coordinate the day-to-day operations for the Women’s Basketball program. Manage team schedule and ensure robust communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with events and facilities to coordinate scheduling day-to-day practices, event set-up, logistics and operations. Provide oversight and fiscal management of operating budget. Order, store, distribute and maintain inventory of all team apparel and equipment. Assist in monitoring weekly/hourly student athlete practice and competition hours and required days off. Assist coaching staff with timely production and submission of required documents. Hire, evaluate and supervise student managers and student workers.
Contribute in several administrative and operational areas of the program including but not limited to: oversee all aspects of team travel to include travel coordination, team hotel meals, ground transportation and meeting rooms. Assist with the planning and coordinating of official and unofficial visits to campus by prospective student-athletes.
Coordinate preparation of Women’s Basketball camp operations, to include camp budget preparations, expenses, and projections, scheduling, logistics, housing, transportation, apparel, equipment, and securing camp facilities. Maintain camp website, prepare all correspondence related to camp publications and maintain correspondence with attendees. Hire, and supervise camp coaches and counselors. Recruit, enroll camp participants and collect payments. Complete and submit camp documentation by established deadlines.
Develop collaborative relationships with Texas Athletics and University departments to refer and provide resources to provide guidance and direction to student-athletes, as appropriate. Liaison with T-Association, the Longhorn Foundation, External Affairs, Student Services and related areas.
Assists the Head Women's Basketball Coach, the Associate Head Women's Basketball Coach, the Assistant Women's Basketball Coaches as assigned.
Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.

Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Bachelor’s Degree. Two years of of experience as a professional Women’s Basketball player or in the areas of operations and/or coaching at Division I school. Technological proficiency. Demonstrated the ability to provide critical thinking and consultation to achieve positive outcomes. Demonstrated professional demeanor. Demonstrated exceptional character traits in integrity and fairness. Ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Five years of experience as a professional Women’s Basketball player or in the areas of operations and/or coaching at a Division I school. Experience working as Director of Operations in an NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletic Women’s Basketball program. Experience working in collaboration with key business partners in a Division I athletics program including Compliance, Accounting, Academics, Human Resources and Administration. Experience as a Student-Athlete in collegiate athletics. Experience hiring, supervising and evaluating employees.
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
