The Department of Athletics is seeking a Director of Operations: Wrestling. This is a full-time (1.0FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The Wrestling Operations Manager is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Head Coach and all Assistant Coaches in the
OSU
Wrestling Program. This position is also responsible for assisting in the recruiting operations, including on-campus and off-campus scheduling, official visits and updating the coaching staff about recruits. The Wrestling Operations Manager will also support student-athlete operations, including travel and on-campus needs. In addition, this position will also assist with summer camps.

OPERATIONS
Assist the Wrestling coaches with day-to-day and game day operations and travel for all home and away contests.
Manages schedules for home and away buses, home game catering and meal money, generates itineraries, manages post-game meals, and assists with contracts.
Encourages and participates in activities that foster an environment that is diverse, equitable, inclusive, and fosters a sense of belonging for both student athletes and colleagues in alignment with the
OSU
Diversity Action Plan and Athletics specific diversity goals and expectations.

RECRUITING
Assists with recruiting coordination which could include, but is not limited to, coordination of campus visits, initiates follow up on all correspondence involving the evaluation of interest and subsequent recruitment of student-athletes, coordinates the meetings for official visits, and schedules on-campus visits and organizes and/or provides transportation, tours and meetings.
Assists with travel for recruiting on-campus and off-campus.

CAMP
COORDINATION
Assists with the organization of all administrative aspects of
OSU
Wrestling Camps, which includes marketing, registration, payroll, employment of counselors, venue operations, on-campus housing, meals, snacks, and equipment purchases as prescribed by
NCAA
and
OSU
guidelines.
Once camp commences, this position assists with any issues that may arise to ensure camp wraps up smoothly and effectively.
Monitors and reconciles all accounts.

OTHER
Assist with activities contributing to the support of the Wrestling office, financial or otherwise.
Coordinates the large mailings activities, participant responses, vendor business contacts, accounting and financial accountability, and personal participation during the events when possible.
Prepares travel reimbursement forms.
Bachelor’s degree.
One (1) year of experience working with an
NCAA
Division I Wrestling program in a support capacity (non-coaching). Student and graduate student experience will qualify.
Demonstrable organizational skills.
Experience providing operational support for a diverse group of student athletes and colleagues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
Demonstrated ability to handle conflict.
Will work evenings and weekends.
May have access to youth under the age of 18 in a one-on-one setting.
