Title: Director of Player Development, Baseball

Occupational Summary
Â
This position will oversee all player analytics, scouting and stats for the Duke Baseball Team. Additionally, this position will coordinate all efforts with sports performance coaches, sport nutrition and athletic medicine staff.
Â
This is a part time paid position and is not benefits eligible.
Â
Qualifications
· Experience utilizing multiple platforms to analyze all aspects of the game. Preferable experience with Tru Media and Synergy Platform
· Attention to detail with a specific focus on statistics, visual statistics, play by play video and how to utilize this information to build growth for players
· Foster a working environment to provide successful communication and collaboration amongst the athletic performance support groups

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
· Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage young women.
· Effective written and verbal communication
· Knowledge of NCAA rules
· Strong organizational and problem solving skills needed
· The scope of this position requires weekend, evening and possible holiday hours
· Thrive in fast paced environment, possess a keen attention to details, and ability to multi-task

Education
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· 1 year experience utilizing analytical material for baseball players

Work requires knowledge of basic mathematical, research and communications principles normally acquired through two years of postsecondary education.

Experience

Work generally requires three years of clerical or research experience OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE to acquire skills in administrative or project research responsibilities as well as accepted office organization, communications and research practices. A bachelor's degree in a field of study directly related to the specific position may be substituted for the education and two years of the experience requirement.
