Salary Range: Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions

Summary

Function: Oversight of the day-to-day recruiting operations for UTSA Athletics.

Scope: Oversight of recruiting operations for football.

Duties

Typical:

1. Oversight of day-to-day recruiting operations.
2. Facilitate and catalog evaluation process for recruiting.
3. Manage personnel structure, schedules, vision, and direction.
4. Supervise personnel student assistants and schedules.
5. Organize and prepare for recruiting meetings.
6. Initial identification and evaluation of prospects and top underclassmen.
7. Filter prospects for staff by area and position to ensure recruiting efficiency.
8. Assist Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator in decision-making process for PSA’s (Prospective Student Athletes).
9. Assist in evaluation and initial eligibility with operations and academic staff.
10. Manage prospect video: highlights, cut-ups and evaluation tapes.
11. Manage prospect database in ARMS database (Web and iPad).
12. Structure and organize in-state and national recruiting boards.
13. Manage all recruiting material (In-Home presentation, iPads, graphics, etc).
14. Spring and Fall travel management and organization (on/off schedules, available days, etc).
15. Manage summer camp testing, workouts and stats as well as assist HC with prospect identification.
16. Assist Head Coach, Recruiting Coordinator with roster management/attrition numbers.
17. Organization of recruiting events (Junior Days, About You Visits, etc).
18. Manage prospect ticket requests on a weekly basis.
19. Coordinate personnel professional development with NFL organizations.
20. Organize personnel department shadowing of NFL organizations on UTSA Pro Day.
21. Assist with official and unofficial visit organization and logistics.
22. Provides research/analytics for projects associated with NFL combine data, testing methods, trends, ideas etc.
23. Assist NFL liaison with NFL scouts and personnel visits.
24. Research new technology and cutting-edge recruiting materials.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Three years of quality control, coaching, recruiting and/or collegiate or professional football player experience.
• High proficiency with ARMS.
• Proficiency in personal computers and related office equipment.

• Valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Working Conditions

• Normal office environment.
• Schedule may vary based on department needs.
• Travel required.

This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
