Responsibilities :
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Director of Player Personnel for Men’s Basketball. This position reports directly to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. This position will support the holistic growth and success of the student-athletes. This role is responsible for mentoring players, enhancing skill development, fostering academic and personal growth, and ensuring student-athletes maximize their potential on and off the court.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide individual and group mentoring to student-athletes to support their personal, academic, and athletic growth.
- Develop customized player development plans, analyze player strengths and weaknesses, design and deliver targeted training drills to improve technical skills, athleticism, and game strategy.
- Player performance tracking, monitor progress through data analysis and film review.
- Foster relationships with student-athletes to ensure they are prepared for success beyond college basketball, whether in professional sports or other career paths.
- Monitor pre-season conditioning and training of team members.
- Academic Liaison, track academic progress of student-athletes.
- Serve as a mentor to student-athletes in athletic, academic, personal, and disciplinary affairs.
- Liaison with Strength and Conditioning.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to integrate player development strategies into team practices and game plans.

- Liaison with Strength and Conditioning.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to integrate player development strategies into team practices and game plans.
- Serve as an ambassador of the University and its Athletics Department at all Public entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from regionally accredited institution.
- Four (4) years coaching/administrative experience, or combination of work experience and college education, may substitute for the required degree.
Experience with Junior college or Division I Basketball program.
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to working with multi-cultural populations.
Have strong work ethic and be a person of high integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules as they apply to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics program.
Ability to work extended daily hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
