Grove City College is excited to announce that it will be introducing rowing as a club program in the Fall of 2026 with the plan to transition this program to an NCAA Division 3 varsity rowing program (timeline TBD) and the College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Rowing.
Apply NowThis individual will be in charge of all phases of the Wolverine Rowing program. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to training sessions, practices, and competitions. Mentoring and supporting student-athletes, promoting both athletic excellence and Christian values. Recruiting and retaining student-athletes, developing and implementing training programs that enhance physical performance and safety. Maintaining equipment, coordinating travel, and managing team logistics. Monitoring academic progress of team members and providing guidance to help them succeed. Additionally, this position will collaborate with the Director of Athletics to manage team budgets and equipment acquisition. They will work to maintain program integrity with respect to Grove City College, ACRA and NCAA rules and regulations and complete all other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and proven coaching experience at high school or college level, or competitive varsity rowing experience is required. Familiarity with recruiting processes and managing team budgets is preferred. Must have valid driver’s license. A strong, demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Christian mission and vision of Grove City College is essential.
