Essential Functions

Summary

Focuses on the identification and evaluation of prospects on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, including specialists.

Duties

1. Identify, evaluate, and collect data and video on prospects to provide direction to the coaching staff through available and permissible sources.
2. Coordinate with all members of the football staff to create the best and most efficient recruiting operations in the nation.
3. Create and maintain an updated recruiting list and database at the direction of the coaching staff and evaluation.
4. Manage all aspects of the recruiting war room and ensure the recruiting plan is executed on a daily basis.
5. Responsible for developing a yearly recruiting plan/grid for all recruiting periods throughout the year. Communicate the plans to the UTSA Compliance Office and UTSA Football Staff.
6. Oversee the transfer portal and provide list to coaching staff.
7. Provide daily recruiting round up reports during contact and evaluation period.
8. Supervise and be responsible for the numerous aspects of the growth of technology as it pertains to recruiting.
9. Serves as primary liaison between ARMS Software and Football Staff.
10. Produce recruiting material and binders that include national prospects list prior to spring recruiting.
11. Assist Recruiting Coordinator with organizing all staff recruiting meetings.
12. Responsible for maintaining and updating recruiting boards and recruit database on a daily basis.
13. Manage coaches' recruiting assistants (student workers).
14. Perform other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
15. Follow all rules of the University of Texas at San Antonio, UTSA Athletics, UTSA Football, and the NCAA.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Similar experience with two or more years working with college athletics is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Personal computer and standard office equipment.

Working Conditions

• Standard office environment, are required, only occasionally.

This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
