The Director of Sports Nutrition / Football will oversee all areas of nutrition support for Virginia Tech Football including athlete feeding, supplementation, hydration, and nutrition educational needs. The person in this position will exemplify Virginia Tech Athletics Department’s 5 core values: Integrity, Service, Honor, Excellence and Strong Together. This position reports directly to the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Nutrition.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field with related experience.
Registered Dietitian; completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Ability to work a nonstandard work week which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a fast-paced, intense work environment.
Sports nutrition experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of or working towards a Board Certification for Specialist in Sports Dietetics.
