Job Summary
Primary job responsibilities will be the design, implementation, and scheduling of strength and conditioning programs for sports as assigned by the Associate AD, Sports Performance. The anticipated sport coverage for this position will be Baseball and Women’s Soccer but these coverages may be changed from time to time and additional sport coverage may be required. Primary responsibilities also include assisting the Associate AD, Sports Performance in all aspects of Division I Strength and Conditioning program including, but not limited to, teaching student athletes how to perform Weight Lifting and Conditioning. In addition, this position will assist with the daily operation and maintenance of strength and conditioning facilities and other duties as assigned by the Associate AD, Sports Performance. Must be proficient in Olympic and strength training movements, exercise selection and programming, speed mechanics, agility drills, and nutrition. The ability to communicate and develop a working relationship with sport coaches, athletic trainers, and student-athletes is imperative. Support other strength staff members as assigned. Travel optional.

Supervisory Responsibilities
· Oversees daily workflow of the Sports Performance department
· Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Fieldhouse Weight Room
· Oversees Graduate Assistants and curriculum
· Assists in all hiring of assistant sports performance coaches
· Responsible for graduate assistant hiring and onboarding
· Assists in overseeing other full-time staff in Sports Performance.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Directly oversees the strength and conditioning programming and facilitation for the Baseball and Women’s Soccer programs.
· Provide leadership in the development and assessment of initiatives, which supports the University’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
· Organizes and prepares for meetings and events within the sports performance department
· Help oversee the High Performance Team Unit
· Oversees all High Performance Team student-athlete education
· Assists and collaborates with High Performance Team coaches education
Required Skills/Abilities
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to move heavy weights · Ability to demonstrate exercises/drills/ etc
Work Conditions:
·Early mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays
·Working with large groups of athletes without the proper amount of staffing to ensure the safety of athletes
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications for Position: Requires a Bachelor's degree in related field.
Preferred Qualifications for Position: Master’s degree in related field. 1-2 years of relevant experience.
SCCC or CSCS certification.
Knowledge of NCAA rules / regulations and CPR-AED certification.
