Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Oversees and manages all aspects of ticketing operations for KSU Athletics. Provides exceptional customer service, maintains accurate financial records, and collaborates with various university departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations and revenue generation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversees and manages all aspects of ticketing operations for all regular and postseason athletic events ensuring efficient ticket sales, distribution, and access control
2. Implements and maintains ticketing systems and technologies to enhance the fan and donor experience
3. Develops and maintain high standards of customer service for ticket buyers, fans, donors, and season ticket holders
4. Addresses customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally
5. Maintains accurate financial records related to ticket sales, revenue, and expenses
6. Prepares financial reports and analyses for departmental use and report to Athletic administration
7. Supports the primary contact and liaison with the KSU Foundation by preparing regular reports that accurately reflect fundraising efforts, providing, necessary data to support fundraising initiatives, and managing ticketing and fundraising transactions
8. Works closely with other external team members, including marketing and fundraising staff, to maintain open communication and develop effective marketing strategies for ticket sales and fundraising efforts
9. Emphasizes a philosophy of revenue generation through positive customer service, ensuring that all strategies prioritize fan and donor satisfaction while achieving financial goals
10. Manages online box office to ensure maximum revenue generation and high-quality customer experience
11. Oversees the daily and game day operations of the KSU Athletics box office, including scheduling and training box office staff
12. Ensures that the box office is organized, well-staffed, and efficient in processing ticket orders and inquiries
13. Maintains accurate records of ticket sales and manage the box office budget effectively
14. Utilizes and manages ticketing software and technology to process sales, track attendance, and analyze customer data
15. Generates and maintains reports related to ticket sales, attendance, and revenue, providing insights to Athletics leadership
16. Analyzes data to identify trends that support making data-driven decisions to enhance ticketing, development, and marketing strategies
17. Collaborates with various university departments to coordinate ticketing needs and provide support and with external partners, such as ticket vendors and sponsors, as needed
18. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to ticketing operations, including NCAA regulations for athletic events
19. Provides support during events, including overseeing will call and resolving any ticketing issues that may arise on event days
20. Collaborates with event staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for event attendees
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Required Experience
Three (3) years of experience related to the position
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Direct experience with Paciolian or similar ticketing systems and able to demonstrate a strong grasp of ticketing technology
Experience in ticket operations and management, preferably within an athletics or entertainment context
ABILITIES
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule, ensuring comprehensive event support.
Able to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in ticketing and implement technological enhancements when necessary
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Proficiency in ticketing software, data analysis, and financial record keeping to maintain accurate records and support data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge of NCAA ticketing regulations, particularly for athletic events
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, time management, project management and presentation skills
Strong communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and external partners
Strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively oversee and manage ticketing operations
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, ticketing software and related technology)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
