Summary of Level:
Employee works with limited supervision and usually within established guidelines and norms. Employee may seek assistance when problems and/or solutions deviate greatly from standard guidelines. Employee has a significant role in the administrative and operational systems for the women’s basketball program. The employee must exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and problem solving within the context of college athletics and the operations of the University.

Description of Specialty:
Under the direction of the head coach, the position of Director of Operations for Women’s Basketball (DOBO) manages and oversees the overall operations of the off-court and business operations of the women’s basketball program, including budget management. This position is instrumental in organizing, operating, and implementing policies and procedures in all “off-court” aspects of the basketball program. The DOBO may act on behalf of the head coach and assistant coaches with some internal and external stakeholders, in a manner that reflects the head coach’s priorities and the University’s mission, vision, and values. Finally, this position will provide the head coach with problem solving, analysis, and recommendations for increased efficiency of the program’s administrative operations.

  1. Budget Oversight

    1. Oversee all budgets and work collaboratively with the Business Office budget manager to ensure efficient use of resources.
