Department Information
The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Steeped in history and success while embracing strategic innovation, our programs compete at the highest level and strive for national championships. Tech fans are passionate about their support of their beloved Yellow Jackets and cherish the many traditions involved with the program.
Manage all aspects of recruiting including: Database, correspondence and mailings, academics, branding, recruiting services, video, official visits, unofficial visits, game-day visits, practice, junior days, coaches clinic, & prospect camp. Non-recruiting responsibilities include coordinating: sport facility improvement, walk-on program, high school coach relations, & Georgia Tech profession athlete alumni.
Interact with student athletes, coaches, other GTAA staff.
Job Duty 1 -
Run all camps and clinics.
Job Duty 2 -
Coordinate on-campus recruiting.
Job Duty 3 -
Direct Recruiting Radar contact/ National Recruiting Services.
Job Duty 4 -
Liaison with GACA Clinics / Awards, etc.
Job Duty 5 -
Direct branding efforts and new ideas.
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience
Preferred Experience
Demonstrated experience with the following:
Implementing player evaluation criteria and grading scale as directed by head coach and executive athletics director for player management.
Conducting film analysis and evaluation to produce written scouting reports to aid in roster management decisions and prospect recruitment.
Coordinating and collaborating with assistant coaches, support staff, and athletics administration as required to ensure effective, efficient, and proactive communication for recruiting compliance, operations, and logistics.
Organize recruiting calendar and prioritize efforts based on NCAA compliance, geography, position, or as directed by head coach and executive athletics director for player management.
Supervise and lead recruiting evaluation department efforts for all current, potential, or future student-athletes.
