Led by the Vice President for the Office of Development, Jim Hall (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jim-hall-913270131/), our fundraising team at Georgia Tech currently consists of more than 100 professionals who are focused on securing transformative philanthropy (major and principal gifts) to support the strategic priorities of the Institute and its colleges, schools, and programs, including Georgia Tech Athletics. For fiscal year 2024 (closed 6/30/2024), the Development teams efforts resulted in over $243 million in new gifts and commitments in support of Transforming Tomorrow: The Campaign for Georgia Tech which will secure more than $2 billion in new commitments and gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations. Within the campaign, Athletics has become the first unit on campus to surpass its initial fundraising target of $300M to support facilities, current operations, and endowment. Following this success, Athletics¿ priorities and goals will be expanded and increased during the final years of the campaign in order to fulfill the vision of Georgia Tech Athletics, ensure the athletic and academic success of our student-athletes both on and off the fields and courts of competition, and provide a sustainable financial base for Athletics within the ever-changing marketplace of collegiate sports.
Responsible for GT Athletics premium seating and suite sales. Assess, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual gifts from donors identified through the premium seating process. Focus on individual donors and prospects but may also interact with foundation and corporations as appropriate.This position will interact on a consistent basis with: donors, staff, and coaches. This position typically will advise and counsel coaches and staff.
Job Duty 1 - Execute sales of premium seating and suites for GT Athletics.
Job Duty 2 - Create and implement a plan to Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors for support of Georgia Tech athletics with a focus on annual gifts and sports programs.
Job Duty 3 - Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a pool of major gift prospects.
Job Duty 4 - Identify and refer prospective donors of annual gifts to major gift officers.
Job Duty 5 - Coordinate and collaborate closely with development officers assigned to regions, colleges, schools, and other campus units as appropriate to facilitate communication with donors.
Job Duty 6 - Participate in regular meetings with other members of the Georgia Tech development staff.
Job Duty 7 - Facilitate interaction among major gift donors and prospective donors with GT AA coaches, staff, and administration.
Job Duty 8 - On average, solicits gifts up to $1, and manages a portfolio size of $25K - $5K and up to 1 prospects.
Job Duty 9 - Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
College or university athletic fund-raising experience

Three to five years job related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success in fundraising with a focus on individuals, preferable in athletics at a research university.

SKILLS
This job requires experience in specialized donor and ticketing software systems. The ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward potential annual gift prospects and donors. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of donors and prospective donors; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong strategic planning and organizational skills; strong computer skills; and the ability to hand multiple assignments simultaneously and work well under pressure.
