This position primarily entails writing thank you notes to donors who have made gifts to the university. You will write thank you notes on behalf of a variety of academic programs, scholarship funds, and athletic teams. From time to time you may be asked to perform administrative tasks. Administrative tasks may include editing, scanning documents into the computer system, and printing and stuffing envelopes for bulk mailings. May also include digital acknowledgments using ThankView or other applicable software.
The Office of Donor Relations and Stewardship is responsible for acknowledging donor gifts to the University as well as engaging with our donors on a regular basis and report the impact of their giving in various way throughout the year. Donors help to make Lipscomb the amazing place that it is and they want nothing more than to hear from Lipscomb students! Receiving a thoughtful, handwritten note from you conveys to donors the true significance of their philanthropy. Since this position involves handwriting notes, it can be repetitive, but the impact that you have on the hearts of our donors is very rewarding!
Education: Current Lipscomb University student
Experience: Prior experience in a writing or editing role is highly valued
