POSITION SUMMARY:
Rogers State University is accepting applications for an Assistant Head Esports Coach.
PRIMARY DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide strategic coaching assistance to one or more competitive titles directly, including: League of Legends, Madden, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, Smash Ultimate, and Valorant;
- Assist the Head Coach and coaching staff with administrative duties, scouting & recruiting, travel responsibilities, and other tasks as assigned;
- Assist with inter-team and inter-scholastic communication.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Competitive experience at the collegiate level in one or more of the competitive titles listed above;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Willingness to learn new skills;
- Ability to communicate effectively with members of the RSU Esports program and with the other members of the coaching staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Competitive experience at the collegiate level in one or more of the competitive titles listed above;
- At least 2 years as a member of a collegiate Esports program;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Competitive experience roughly equal to the equivalent of a Masters or higher in at lease one of the competitive titles listed above;
- At least 3 years as a member of a collegiate Esports program;
- Some experience with scouting and recruiting Esports competitors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift, carry, etc. 50 lbs or less;
- Able to drive for several hours at a time.
REPORTS TO:
- Head ESPORTS Coach
SUPERVISION GIVEN TO: Student Workers
HOURS: Variable - 15 hours per week
POSITION: FLSA Exempt
