The Department of Athletics invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month, contractual position limited with benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. UMES sponsors 14 Division I varsity sports with approximately 200 student-athletes.
Determines academic eligibility for practice and competition. Ensures conference office certification deadlines are met. Updates student-athlete information in Compliance Assistant 2.0. Enters and monitors prospective student-athlete information related to initial eligibility in the NCAA Eligibility Center portal. Creates and disseminates eligibility reports to coaches and applicable staff. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree. One-year experience working with NCAA regulations regarding eligibility (Bylaw 14) . Experience with degree auditing or academic advising.
Knowledgeable of NCAA regulations regarding eligibility (Bylaw 14). Demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines.
