Purdue University Fort Wayne is currently seeking an onsite, full-time Equipment and Game Operations Coordinator in our Athletics department . The Equipment and Game Operations Coordinator is responsible for game day operations, departmental equipment, and the coordination of departmental facility needs. This position has an annual starting wage of $43, 888.

Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as PFW Athletics equipment manager with responsibility for organizing and supervising all facets of the equipment/laundry area.
Develop and maintain all procedures involved with equipment distribution and collection system with each program.
Develop and maintain a database of all athletic equipment to satisfy related NCAA regulations.
Hire, train, and schedule student/temp employees, and interns serving in the equipment/laundry area.
Supervise subordinate’s daily equipment maintenance duties including repair, laundry, and travel preparation.
Coordinate with all head coaches on the particular equipment management needs related to their sport for both practices and contests.
Oversee direct relationship with Under Armour, Game One, and other equipment and apparel contacts for team and departmental apparel purchases.
Manage athletic department fleet of support vehicles including but not limited to golf carts, John Deere gators, ATV’s, etc.
Responsible for providing a safe, clean, fun and professional environment for all teams, fans, and officials in attendance of Athletic and special events.
Develop and maintain all procedures involved with putting on a home contest including pregame, game time, and postgame duties.
Hire and train all event student/temp employees on customer service and safety plans and approve their time sheets.
Supervise student/temp employees performing set up and clean-up activities.
Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in mitigation of situations that arise during events to include: media access, concessions, parking, and security.
Prepare locker rooms for visiting teams & officials.
Responsible for coordinating with Physical Plant staff a safe and clean Athletic facility for all students, staff and patrons that utilize the Athletic venues.
Assist with coordinating all physical plant work orders.
Review the cleaning and maintenance completed by physical plant work orders.
Evaluate all preventative maintenance projects.
Support formulating future planning projects.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree. Relevant years of experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
2 years of experience working in Athletics in game operations, equipment, and facility management.
Able to work and thrive in a team setting and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
A strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Able to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
