Job Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Serve as Full-Time Equipment Manager for Division III intercollegiate athletics program, which includes procurement, inventory, laundry, disbursement of equipment and uniforms to teams during the season and collecting equipment and uniforms at the end of the seasons. Assist with game management duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and participates in the daily operation of athletic equipment room.
Maintains an organized and well managed system for storage and issuance of equipment/uniforms that adheres to NCAA, Conference and institutional guidelines and policies.
Responsible for the distribution and collection of athletic equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
Responds to requests from coaches for equipment/uniform needs; and assists in creating purchase orders for equipment.
Responsible for maintaining and cleaning (including laundry facility management) of equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
Oversees daily laundering of player loops and uniforms.
Follows maintenance guidelines for equipment and conducts regular audits to ensure all used athletic equipment is in ready state; sends out equipment for repair and reconditioning following approved budgeting guidelines.
Handle sign outs and equipment for recreation use such as basketballs, volleyball equipment.
Assist in preparation of equipment, playing areas, and locker rooms for practices and games.
Game Management oversight for several sports.
Assist in preparing uniform and equipment budgets and overall orders.
Maintains effective relationships with equipment vendors.
Comply with all NCAA, Conference, University and Department Policies, Regulations and Guidelines.
Promote and exhibit the highest level of sportsmanship and ethical behavior at all times.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with Game Management duties.
Exhibit the highest degree of fiscal responsibility in the proper management, oversight, and reconciliation of athletic program budgets, including p-card transactions.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Attend all departmental meetings, designated events, and all Admissions Open Houses as requested.
Must adhere to all NCAA/NEWMAC/Salve Regina University rules and regulations.
In particular, all coaches and athletics personnel are charged with being knowledgeable and assuring and monitoring compliance by all student- athletes, staff and assistant coaches with applicable governing constitutions, by-laws, rules, policies, interpretations and regulations of the NCAA, the University and appropriate athletics conference. Staff members shall immediately advise the Compliance Office if there is reason to believe that violations have occurred or will occur and shall cooperate fully in any investigation of possible NCAA or Conference violations.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Valid driver's license in good standing.
Current CPR, AED, and First-Aid Certifications.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Incumbent is subject to both inside and outside work and could encounter extreme weather conditions.

The successful candidate will possess highly developed communication and organizational skills, efficiency in computer usage and a high degree of self-motivation and dedication to all aspects of the intercollegiate program.
Understanding of intercollegiate athletics environment is critical. Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze, and make critical decisions related to operational efficiency.
Strong coordination and organizational skills required to effectively manage operational challenges.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
