Under direction of the Assistant Athletics Director for Internal Operations, the Equipment Manager / Building Custodian will: Supervise, coordinate, and participate in all activities related to the receiving, storing, issuing, fitting, repairing, and returning of athletic equipment, clothing and uniforms for Minot State University intercollegiate sports teams and athletics department staff. You will help prepare and maintain interior and exterior athletic facilities for varsity athletics, physical education and civic events. Position must maintain a variable work schedule dependent on the sport season.

Plans, directs, and organizes the activities of the department equipment area. Oversees the development and maintenance of Athletic Department operational policies and procedures to ensure adherence to practices that are in full compliance with NCAA and University regulations, as well as compliance with terms of contracts with manufacturers.
Receives equipment upon delivery and distributes it to appropriate coaches, athletes, and staff. Establish, maintain, and reconcile uniform and equipment inventories, and oversee the maintenance of all inventory records for each program. Establish and follow security procedures to prevent inventory losses. Maintain records of all equipment room supplies, Stores and packs sporting equipment appropriately when not in use.
Oversees sports uniform and equipment distribution and retrieval at practices and on game days. Issues equipment and uniforms to athletic teams, coaches and students. Provides for towel services, cleaning, and distribution for practices and game for home and visiting teams. Provide all game day equipment preparation and setup as required.
Oversees and coordinates the work of lower-level athletic equipment students engaged in the day-to-day performance of related activities. Trains, and supervises the equipment staff providing leadership, direction, and instruction for these positions.
Ensures all uniforms and related apparel and equipment are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition. Inspects equipment and uniforms for defects. Monitors daily maintenance of equipment, including laundry, repair, and general upkeep of equipment. Provides routine maintenance of athletic equipment and minor maintenance on laundry equipment. Oversees any repair and maintenance functions/procedures on laundry equipment.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Building Custodian
Help prepare and maintain interior and exterior athletic facilities for varsity athletics, physical education and civic events.
Maintain exterior athletic facilities, which include Herb Parker Stadium and practice football fields along with the immediate grounds.
