Description

Cornell College is seeking applications for a part-time seasonal esports coach.  The part-time esports coach will help to grow the esports program and provide additional support to Cornell College student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for focusing on the development of individual players' skills and team strategies through structured practices and direct coaching. Key duties will include assessing players' strengths and weaknesses, creating training plans, analyzing opponents, motivating players, and ensuring adherence to league rules.

Minimal Qualifications

  1. Strong knowledge and coaching ability in one or more of the following esports titles: Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, and Smash Bros.

  2. Familiarity with streaming platforms (such as Twitch.tv and YouTube) and streaming software.

  3. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, planning, leadership, attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, and sound judgment.

  4. Ability and commitment to recruit, instruct, and motivate college student-athletes.

  5. A positive role model for young adults.

  6. Ability to work with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment

  7. Must have residency within one of the following states: Iowa, Illinois or Minnesota
