Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Event Organization:

· Organize and promote intramural competitions within the university community.

· Host watch parties for major esports events and tournaments.

· Collaborate with campus organizations to plan and execute more on-campus events related to esports.

· Assist in organizing and promoting club events and community engagement activities.

· Collaborate with club members and community partners to enhance participation and outreach efforts.

· Help coordinate volunteer opportunities and service projects to support the local community.

Facilities & Equipment Management:

· Assist in the maintenance and organization of esports facilities and equipment.

· Ensure that all equipment is properly functioning and available for use.

· Coordinate equipment setup and breakdown for events and practices.

· Collaborate with the coaching staff to assess equipment needs and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements.

Social Media Management:

· Curate and manage content for the Varsity Esports program's social media channels.

· Create engaging posts to promote team activities, events, and achievements.

· Stay updated on social media trends and contribute to the development of strategies for an enhanced online presence.

Team Support:

· Assist players and coaching staff with day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.

· Foster a positive team environment and contribute to team morale.

· Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the overall success of the Varsity Esports program

Minimum Qualifications

· Enrolled as a student at Shawnee State University for 2024-2025

· Passionate for and knowledgeable of esports.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.

· Basic understanding of broadcast production (training will be provided).

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Flexible schedule to accommodate event timings.
