Event Medicine Specialist II provide advanced on-site medical care during mass gathering events (e.g., sporting events, concerts, or other recreational gatherings). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience: One year of ALS-level experience as a released attendant-in-charge.
Licensure: Virginia Department of Health Intermediate or Paramedic certification. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Unrestricted Valid Driver’s License. Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) Class II or higher.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps), and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
