The primary function of the Events & Marketing Manager is to coordinate and supervise the department's event management, marketing and promotions and community service operations. This role will co-manage all athletic events which includes the hiring, training, and supervision of all event staff and student employees. Coordinates and co-manage all marketing and promotion efforts in support of athletic events.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Sports Management
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience providing a high level of customer service, event coordination and employee supervision.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years supervisory experience in Intercollegiate game day or athletic facility management or operations.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Provide excellent customer service. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Working knowledge of athletic facility operations. Knowledge of NCAA rules and ability to pass yearly rules test. Must be flexible in adjusting work schedule. Evening, weekend & holiday work is required. Work independently under general supervision.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Relevant experience at the NCAA level. Proficiency in spreadsheet analysis, basic word processing and Microsoft Office. Experience or ability to learn WORKDAY, WhenToWork, ArbiterSports and ARMs.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $63,000.00 to USD $73,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
