Salary: $18 per hour

Summary:
Play-by-play, commentary, and background information about the players and teams and game statistics for UIS competitions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Enhance UIS livestream experience by announcing articulately information and describing the action throughout competition on microphone to engage live audience.
  • Conduct research to generate statistics and trivia about UIS team and their opponents.
  • Accurately pronounce all UIS and competitor names, speak clearly and confidently.
  • Interface with administration/game operations/event officials before, during, and after game/match/contest/event regarding special announcements and changes.
  • Set up, use, tear down various pieces of technological equipment for livestream broadcasts.
  • Interact with other on-air talent and guests during the broadcast when necessary.
  • Retain extensive knowledge of the rules of the assigned sports.

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience of calling games for various sports programs
Administration/Game Operations Team Collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred experience of calling games for various sports programs at collegiate level

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of the sport, the teams that are competing, and their players
Ability to quickly summarize what's happening during the game
Ability to offer commentary on the game
Ability to friendly converse with on-air colleague about game
Vocal Articulation and Inflection
Knowledge of Applicable Sports Rules
Calm in Fast-Paced Environments
