The Finance Director for University Services implements the organization’s budget policies, compiles annual budgets and intermediate financial forecasts in duties that include but are not limited to:
Oversee the compilation, monitoring, and review of annual and intermediate budgets for the assigned University Services departments.
Review departmental expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations and identify variances against budget plans.
Establish and guide measures for budgetary control, and ensure that longer-term functional objectives translate into established processes to maximize efficacy and efficiency.

The Finance Director for University Services is focused on planning and analysis, internal controls, and approvals of critical operational activities to ensure congruence with budget and projections. They oversee all planning and execution activities for the assigned units and is primarily focused on planning and escalation of issues within their assigned cluster; and supervise work for the Senior Analyst, Budget & Planning and General Analysts within their cluster.

Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field - that is, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration - preference for a professional accounting qualification and/or a Master's degree
8+ years of relevant professional experience
Knowledge of Higher Education
Intermediate to advanced business analytics skills
Experience building and utilizing financial reports
Experience with complex financial and longitudinal planning, and financial forecasting
Excel proficiency - intermediate (advanced) level
Ability to support establishment and management of budgets of at least $50M and up to $100M+
experience working with complex teams
Strong communications and customer service skills
Ability to engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders, including unit leads and administrators across the institution
Ability to engage in an efficient and professional manner
Strong organizational and time management skills and proficiency managing and prioritizing multiple tasks
Ability to work with variety of financial systems – preference for experience in Workday and/or Adaptive

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$80,429.00 - $157,238.93
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
