To assist the director in the management and administration of financial aid programs. This includes primary responsibility in the administration of federal and private loans through determining student aid eligibility, counseling students, verification of ISIRS, processing all Bolivar campus federal loan forms, and administering private loans for all SBU students. Maintains knowledge of federal, state and University policy regarding student borrowing programs. Maintains athletic scholarships and compliance.

· Greet visitors and answer department telephone
· Creates new student files and maintains file integrity
· Assists in budgeting and awarding process for Bolivar undergraduate and graduate students
· Processes financial aid cancellations
· Counsels prospective and current students and family members regarding financial aid options, awards, and programs
· Processes and administers federal and private loans for Bolivar, undergraduate and graduate students
· Assists with Entrance and Exit Interview process
· Monitors and assists in reconciliation of federal direct loan programs and pell grants
· Processes contracts and administers financial aid and scholarships for student athletes
· Maintains financial aid data on squad lists in NCAA Compliance Assistant Remains informed regarding state, federal, and University regulations as they pertain to student financial aid
· Coordinates the financial aid verification process which includes knowledge of current federal verification guidelines and current federal and state tax forms and guidelines
· Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor

· High School Diploma
· Knowledge of basic computer skills including word processing and database software
· Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as computer, copier, etc.
· Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
· Ability to organize, follow directions, multi-task, and pay attention to details
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 2 years of previous office experience
· Background in Customer Service
· Previous loan processing/financial aid experience.
· Expertise in spreadsheets and word processing
· Must be able to work in typical office environment.
· Occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
· Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine and computer printer
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
· In exercising the functions of this job the incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
