Position Overview

As a Financial Aid Counselor, the general purpose of this position is to provide counsel for all students (current and prospective) and their families regarding their eligibility and responsibilities for all forms of financial aid and advise them of their payment options. This position also counsels students (current, prospective, and former) regarding the status of financial aid applications and the required steps. Represent SFS both on campus and within the community during financial aid presentations to current and prospective students and families.

This position also counsels students (current, prospective, and former) regarding the status of financial aid applications and the required steps. Represent SFS both on campus and within the community during financial aid presentations to current and prospective students and families.

Responsibilities Include

• Provide information to prospective and current students and their families in person and online regarding financial aid eligibility and renewal requirements
• Co-manage Athletic financial aid administration
• Co-manage Federal Work-Study Program
• Co-manage State Grant funding
• Process receipt of Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Review and monitor aid eligibility/renewal of institutional scholarship programs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor's degree required
