Auburn University Athletics is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a
Financial Associate
. In this role, you will be responsible for handling the procure to pay cycle for assigned sports and departments as well as assisting with purchasing card and travel reconciliations. This individual will also work hand in hand with the Football Recruiting staff on Football home games to ensure proper business policies are followed for all un-official visitors.

Accurately process invoices that come into the Athletics Dept. in a timely manner to ensure good relationships with all vendors and utilizes independent judgement to approve invoices up to a $5,000 threshold, checking for accurate information and errors.
Collects cash and credit card payments at football and Olympic sport recruiting events.
Work cooperatively with card holders to upload receipts for purchasing card transactions and accurately code the charges to the appropriate
FOAP
.
Serve as the Liaison with Campus and the assigned sports and departments to resolve any issues during the Procure to Pay life cycle and the purchasing card.
Independently reviews and approves purchasing card reconciliations for assigned sports and departments to ensure the appropriate
FOAP
is used, and backup uploaded as well as verifying for tax and unallowable items.
Manages the Professional Service Contract process from start to finish by inputting the necessary information into TigerBuy. Serves as a facilitator and advises on questions between campus, athletics unit, and outside professionals.
Assist athletic units with submitting their large purchase requests on SharePoint and ensure completed paperwork for purchases. Independently manage requisitions in TigerBuy to ensure purchase orders are issued and work cooperatively with
PBS
to resolve any questions/concerns.
Generate advance requests for assigned sports for team travel per diem and expenses following policy and procedures. Ensure the information on the requests is correct and all required signatures are obtained.
Collects unused money and completes reconciliation worksheet to ensure proper use of funds.
Maintain good relationships with athletics staff, central procurement and business services, and outside vendors.
Assists in generating various transfers, vouchers or corrections inside the accounting system.
Research transactions and analyze any coding inaccuracies. Assists assigned sports and departments with reoccurring expenses to ensure accuracy during the budget process.
May provide payment service training or assistance to assigned sports and departments. Research and communicate best practices within the procure to pay life cycle to other Business office members to ensure the most accurate and efficient processes are being utilized

Level I - High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years experience in financial support services.
Level II - High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of experience in financial support services . Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
Graduate degrees accepted in lieu of experience requirement, at a rate of one year relevant education per year of required experience.
