Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:  The Assistant Football Coach will be responsible for the development and performance of the quarterback position while assisting in all aspects of a competitive intercollegiate football program.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to Christian higher education, student-athlete development, academic success, spiritual formation, and competitive excellence. This individual will work collaboratively with the Head Football Coach, offensive staff, athletic administration, faculty, and campus community to create a positive and transformational experience for student-athletes.

The Assistant Football Coach – Quarterbacks serves as an educator, mentor, recruiter, and role model, helping student-athletes grow academically, athletically, spiritually, and personally.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Quarterback Coaching and Development

  • Coach and develop quarterbacks in all aspects of position-specific performance.
  • Teach offensive concepts, quarterback mechanics, footwork, throwing techniques, leadership skills, decision-making, and football IQ.
  • Conduct individual and group position meetings.
  • Develop and implement quarterback development plans.
  • Evaluate practice and game performance through video analysis.
  • Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare quarterbacks for competition through film study and opponent analysis.
