Duties/Responsibilities

1. Assist Director and Assitant Director with nutritional needs of football players; including but not limited to weight goals, supplementation, body composition, etc.
2. Present at daily practice to help with performance nutrition and fueling before, during and after exercise
3. Collect body fat percentages, muscle mass, and bone mineral density using the DEXA machine 4. Help athletes with live meal coaching and plate building
5. Determine hydration status of athletes using MX3 Saliva and Sweat Test

2. Assist with Student Volunteer Program including daily tasks, monthly meetings, and covering shift if short staffed
3. Help with tracking of player compliance which could include recovery, meals, and/or supplementation
4. Supervise travel needs for packing in both home & away games

| Position Summary |
The Football Nutrition Fellow will work within the Football Nutrition Department while collaborating with strength coaches, athletic trainers, nutrition students, and sports science. They will conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for football athlete to optimize performance and recovery. They will help with managing nutrition storage sites to help with inventory management and ordering. They will assist with food service operations such as catering, budgeting, and delivery. They will work closely with culinary professionals to develop athlete-friendly meals. Will utilize notemeal, red card, MX3, and Inflow while working with athletes and developing educational materials such as presentations, handouts, and team talks.

| Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position |
Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Registered Dietitian certification (or eligible within the next 3 months). Previous experience in collegiate sports nutrition is preferred.

• Lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
• Will handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Move around campus, which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
• Work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
