Position Summary

The Football Operations and Recruiting Graduate Assistant assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the UIW Football team, takes administrative responsibility for all events and activities of the football program, and oversees the support services of student-athletes. The position will serve as the liaison for all numerous campus partnerships. The position reports to the Director of Football Operations.

Essential Functions

• Handles the day to day operations of the football program.
• Works with athletics department communication team on social media activity.
• Supports planning for travel arrangements made for the team and meals for games.
• Work with development team to coordinate football supporter travel and other fundraising events.
• Works directly with compliance office to ensure football program adheres to NCAA regulations.
• Assists with planning and execution of all logistics of preseason training camp.
• Assists with planning and execution of meals for official visits.
• Acts as football program liaison for selected campus partners.
• Acts as liaison for the football program to athletics administration for non-football related activity.
• Manages and recruits student workers and/or volunteers for football program.
• Represents the football program in a professional manner.
• Complies with NCAA, Conference, and UIW regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

- Strong Organization skills and ability to multi-task. - Proficient in event management from inception to full execution. - Strong communication skills. - Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. - Personal computer applications, including proficiency in MS Office Suite. - Ability to provide leadership and direction. - Ability to effectively and creatively manage complex issues, develop, analyze and monitor complicated budgets. - Self-motivated. - Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in the department, the University and the University community. - Energetic self-starter who exercises sound judgment; Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. - Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
