The University of Virginia is a highly competitive Division I program committed to academic and athletic excellence. The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is accepting applications for the position of Football Performance Applied Science Coordinator. Reporting to the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach, this role supports data and analytics needs of the Football Program and the Football Strength and Conditioning team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help build Head Coach’s program vision.
  • Coordinate logistical implementation of all applied science initiatives and related duties for the football program, and perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Catapult Coordinator

    • Logistics (prep work, set up/breakdown, data collection)
    • Live tracking during practices and training
    • Daily analysis reports
    • In-depth analysis projects (trends, programming, etc.)
    • Work with Sports Medicine/Strength & Conditioning on return-to-play player tracking
  • NordBord, ForceDecks, Perch, and SmartSpeed Coordinator
