Alabama State University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (Football) invites applications for the position of Recruiting Office Assistant. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the Running Backs Coach/Recruiting Coordinator with the administrative aspects of recruiting/onboarding, scheduling visits with prospective students, building relationships with new recruits and their families. This role will also assist with managing the recruiting budget, providing administrative support to the coaching staff as it relates to recruiting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Running Backs Coach/Recruiting Coordinator with providing prospective students and parents with information and details on the recruiting process as well as assist with providing information on enrollment and the academic process
• Serve as the contact person for Football Recruiting for scheduling visits
• Assists the Running Backs Coach/Recruiting Coordinator with creating and sharing files, pertinent information, and task sheets with prospective students, student athletes, and their parents to encourage a flawless and timely recruiting process
• Assist with tracking and collecting high school prospects' transcripts and standardized test scores
• Assist with preparing correspondences for recruitment mailings, the NLI process, updating recruitment boards, depth charts and player ranking information
• Select and supervise student workers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of office administrative work within an athletics department at the college/university level required.
