Job Description

The Athletics Department at Whittier College is seeking a FT Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach/Sports Information.

The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting in the organization and management of an NCAA Division III women’s soccer program in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and Whittier College. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, maintain high ethical standards, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment by building and sustaining collaborative working relationships with colleagues across the Athletics Department and the College.

The successful candidate will have experience recruiting, developing, and retaining student-athletes at the NCAA Division III level. In addition to coaching responsibilities, this position will support the department’s athletic communications efforts by collaborating with department leadership, coaches, and student-athletes to promote programs, highlight achievements, and tell the stories of Whittier Athletics in alignment with departmental priorities and brand standards.

This role will also include sports information administrative responsibilities as assigned by the executive director of athletics and the assistant athletic director for communications.

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)
Full Time/Part Time status: Full Time, 11-month (off June)
Salary Range: $51,500-$52,000 annual; Salary will commensurate with experience, skills, and knowledge.
