Job Summary

This pre-professional, 12-month position includes a tuition waiver and a stipend. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for Illinois State's Graduate School.

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Work with all coaches to organize and run drills as directed in practices and pre-game.
2. Responsible for all practice and game set ups---coordinate with student managers.
3. Aid coaches during practice by providing active defense during practice by hitting to infield/outfield.
4. Be able to catch a pitching workout during practices and games.
5. Plan, organize, and arrange aspects of team travel including but not limited to team meals for home and away contests and team lodging arrangements.
6. Oversee team fundraising efforts. Arrange volunteers, coordinate duties, and staff our developmental camp.
7. Prepare the cover and team individual and parent lists to be included in our annual playbook. 8. Prepare all pitcher and coaches signal cards for practices and games.
9. Track, compile and disseminate scrimmage and game statistics.
10. Assist in all on campus recruiting per NCAA rules
11. Be able to pitch batting practice.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference or the Missouri Valley Football conference, the Athletics Department, and Illinois State University.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$1975 a month for .67 FTE

2. Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in Exercise Physiology, Psychology of Sport & Physical Activity, Recreation Administration, or Sport Management.

Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held. International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work up to 28 hours per week when the university is not in session.
