The Department of athletics is looking for a public address (PA) announcer for the Hawks’ NCAA Division I teams. The position requires a commitment to the majority of home games for the season schedule — including MEAC conference doubleheaders — in order to provide a consistent product to fans. The position may be asked to provide announcing for volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and/or other sports. Resumes will be reviewed as needed for each season on a continual basis.

Announcing starting lineups. Acknowledging big plays made by student athletes. Reading prepared marketing and advertising statements throughout the games/matches during stoppage opportunities and breaks.

Some public speaking, public address or broadcasting experience. Nights and weekends. Strong communication skills.
Some experience as a public-address announcer for collegiate or professional athletic teams Understanding of the rules and terminology of sports.
