Description
Want to be involved with Shocker nation & the amazing sporting events that happen? Get an insider glimpse of all the behind the scenes efforts that occur to pull these off & make sure it is a memorable event for all involved or spectating! Join our crew of seasonal workers that assist patrons with everything at the events. We need outgoing, helpful & service-oriented people to make the magic happen. Your awareness of situations & surroundings help you stay on top of everything while your desire to have fun while helping others will make you perfect to be a part of our team that supports our athletics teams showcase their talents.This is a temporary position for sporting events, to be present before, during & after various events.
To provide customer service, assistance with parking and security related issues at WSU sporting events. Interact with customers/attendees, other event staff team members and administration as needed. Ensure a safe and fun event for all in attendance.
Greet, usher, direct, usher and assist customers with needs, directions and accommodations. Monitor interactions between customers & team members. Manage vehicle movements and ensure safe traffic flows. Maintain open and smooth access points and entry to building/lots. Screening guests and belongings for safe entry to premises. Handle and respond to customer complaints or issues. Work with event staff team members for assigned shifts, guidance and expectations of events each time.

Requirements
Must be at least 18 of age.
Ability to handle customer needs or assist through use of resources & in the moment problem solving. Knowledge of appropriate cash handling and basic math skills. Ability to assist with mis-understandings including frustrated or disgruntled customers. Familiar with all basic driving and parking laws. Comfortable with aiding individuals with physical & mental disabilities. Ability to be exposed to seasonal elements for extended periods of time.
