JOB SUMMARY

The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the full-time position of General Manager (Specialist 1A).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include: assisting the Head Football Coach in a variety of duties including the oversight of all recruiting personnel and player personnel strategy; maintaining recruiting database of prospective student-athletes including updating and streamlining information utilizing JumpForward and ARMs; oversees and directs staff related to recruiting mailings to prospects/coaches and planning/coordinating activities for official and unofficial recruiting visit weekends; prepare film on prospective student-athletes and clip it to highlight abilities/skills that coaches will then use to make an evaluation; and other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent organizational, coaching/teaching, communication, and public relations skills.
• Strong commitment to the academic goals of the University.
• A demonstrated knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations.

• Four years of recruiting/player personnel experience for a Division I or NFL football program.
• Possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with the Division of Athletics and its football program.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
