This position oversees pledge processing which includes posting of pledges and
issuance of accurate pledge reminders following policies and procedures. This position
will also regularly review pledge reminder practices with development in order to
streamline the process in a sustainable way. Any electronic pledge reminders sent will
be reviewed and approved by this position. This position oversees the setup and
maintenance of recurring credit card and bank draft charges.

compliance standards
must be followed for credit card transactions. This position will communicate with
University Advancement staff to ensure that
PCI
compliance standards are consistently
being met. This position maintains designation funds and campaign codes in Banner
Advancement as well as solicitation codes, gift classes, and premium codes. Similar to entering proper information into Paciolan so the two record keeping databases are in sync. This
position is also responsible for auditing gifts and processing accurate gift receipts daily. Position will assist with Development activities to include, but not limited to, hospitality events, fundraising events, donor stewardship, creative content execution and other duties as assigned.
This position will have direct contact with donors, development staff, Foundation staff
Alumni staff and others regarding donor accounts. Position must communicate and explain policies and procedures related to gifts and pledges to development staff and other university staff. Also must possess the ability to communicate effectively with donors to explain their records.
This position oversees the daily auditing, batching, and posting of gifts and pledge
payments following policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is
required in gift and pledge processing to insure donor designation instructions are
followed. Additional research with donors, development staff, donor-advised funds and
other third-party payment processors may be required to learn donor intent.
This position audits gift and pledge postings daily and makes corrections and
adjustments as necessary. Will maintain backup documentation file for all adjustments. This position will also oversee the use of the Quickswipe keypad and iPad for authorized users who have completed
PCI
training.
This position needs to know and apply University Advancement Policies and Procedures
for Charitable Giving and
IRS
rules and regulations governing charitable donations and
be able to explain the policies to development officers, support staff and donors.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential to this position.
Position will provide gameday support for the
MAF
.
Position will provide direct support to Deputy AD and Associate AD.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
This individual needs significant knowledge of office procedures and practices, problem-
solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal
skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Individual needs strong
computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Individual needs the ability
to learn and interpret policies and procedures, manage multiple projects and meet
deadlines. Individual also needs to be able to create new policies and procedures as
needed. Individual will also provide training in Banner Advancement to all new University
Advancement employees in addition to Paciolan.
