Golf Graduate Assistant Coach

The Athletics Department at Southwestern College is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Graduate Assistant Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Golf programs.

Position Description
Duties for the position include assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program (practices, tournaments, recruiting, conditioning, overseeing academics, etc.). Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Recruiting experience is encouraged but not required. Good character & communication skills, self-motivation, and leadership skills are essential. Graduate assistant coaches are expected to engage with a diverse student body by residing on campus, regularly dining in the cafeteria, and attending student-centered activities and events. Position compensated with graduate studies, housing, meal allowance, and coaching stipend. 

Position begins August 1, 2024

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and admission into a Southwestern College graduate program
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Weekend and evening hours required
• Driver’s license and ability to be certified as a driver for the college preferred

• Stipend: $5,000/year
• Tuition: Full tuition waiver
• Housing: On-campus apartment plus flex spending for on-campus meals
