GRADUATE ASSISTANT ATHLETICS GAME OPERATIONS & TICKETING

Position Summary:
Graduate Assistants who serve on the staff of Game Operations are an integral part of a well-executed game day for Fire Athletics. Graduate Assistants in Game Operations will be asked to handle a variety of jobs such as set-up and tear down for sporting events, managing student workers, filling a specialized role during games, and facility maintenance. In order for this position to operate effectively, Graduate Assistants need to be professional, reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic about sports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Manage facility set-up for all home games at Victory Stadium, The Furnace, Soccer Complex,
Wrestling Arena, Ted A. Broer Stadium, and Softball Field
● Assist in managing schedules for all student workers for game management
● Coordinate game operations staff for all home games and supervise student workers
● Learn specialized game operations roles such as scorekeeping, scoreboard/shot clock, ticketing, etc.
● Work in conjunction with head coaches for game day planning and communication
● Communicate game day information with visiting teams and officials
● Routinely make any necessary updates and repairs to all facilities or equipment

Graduate Assistants in Game Operations will be asked to handle a variety of jobs such as set-up and tear down for sporting events, managing student workers, filling a specialized role during games, and facility maintenance. In order for this position to operate effectively, Graduate Assistants need to be professional, reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic about sports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Manage facility set-up for all home games at Victory Stadium, The Furnace, Soccer Complex,
Wrestling Arena, Ted A. Broer Stadium, and Softball Field
● Assist in managing schedules for all student workers for game management
● Coordinate game operations staff for all home games and supervise student workers
● Learn specialized game operations roles such as scorekeeping, scoreboard/shot clock, ticketing, etc.
● Work in conjunction with head coaches for game day planning and communication
● Communicate game day information with visiting teams and officials
● Routinely make any necessary updates and repairs to all facilities or equipment
● Manage storage areas in multiple facilities to maintain cleanliness
● Assist with deliveries from vendors
● Assist in the day to day operations of the athletics ticket sales & guest service department
● Manage & assist with all ticket related functions for all home athletics events and special events
including sales, will-call, player guests, recruits, and VIP ticket distribution
● Collaborate with Sports Information departments for game day special events
● Assist with Intramural Sports oversight and manage Intramural student workers
● Minimum of 20 hours per week and maximum 29 hours per week

Requirements:
● Experience with intercollegiate athletics or events
● Ability to perform physical work outdoors in different weather conditions
● Must be available to work nights and weekends due to event schedules. Work over summer not required.
