Apply NowThe GA is given many responsibilities with game day management and set up, writing and graphic design opportunities and the duties of assisting with social media operations. Position will require knowledge of software programs such as Adobe Creative suite especially PhotoShop and LightRoom. The position provides the ability to network with other people at other universities and related schools is invaluable.
Provide sports information support to designated teams.
Assist in multimedia tool development for website.
Supervise undergraduate student staff.
Provide assistance for media relations, website maintenance, internal communications, public information, publicity and promotions.
Learning Outcomes:
Enhance supervisory skills in working with and directing other student workers.
Experience in working with coaches, staff members and the general public.
Develop writing skills through updates with the Athletics Website.
Real-world experience in the creation of social media posts, especially with SnapChat.
Knowledge of different computer software programs in constantly changing technology world.

The award is based on 20 hours per week for 15 weeks each semester. It is expected that students earn their credit hours in the fall and spring semesters by being enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester. Credits must be earned by May 31 each year. Tuition waiver does not cover fees, private music lessons, books, or OneCard charges. Students will receive ½ of their annual stipend during the Fall semester and ½ of their annual stipend during the Spring semester. Each semester, the stipend will be divided into 8 payments. Fall stipends are paid on or about September 15-December 31. Spring stipends are paid on or about January 31-May 15
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Admission to the MBA Maryville University Graduate School program.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well with various constituents
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Ability to update and maintain statistics for various sports
Photography and videography skills.
Must own a digital camera with capability of shooting videos.
Knowledge of various sports statistical standards is beneficial
